The Plateau Man of the Year Awards at its 8th edition calls for Nominations and Voting into its various Award categories.
Amb.Cletus Akhimien, the Convener and Executive Director, COA Media, assures that this 8th Edition will offer a lot more, as improvements have been made to make this event more colourful especially as new categories have been included.
He said plans are at an advanced stage now to ensure a seamless and successful event.
Amb. Cletus also reiterated that Residents of Plateau and Nigeria are looking forward to seeing ONE ON ONE those who have been nominated and who will emerge as the Plateau Man of the Year, 2022.
The Plateau Man of the Year Awards has sustained itself as a prestigious recognition award geared towards recognizing and celebrating distinctive individuals and institutions who are contributing immensely to the advancement of Plateau, and making impact across the State and Country at large.
The Award presenting event has also served as a platform to recognize and celebrate talents, icons, captain of industries, technocrats and those making Plateau State proud in various endeavors. This is to awaken patriotism and spur people to do more in terms of service to humanity and societal transformation.
Some of the patriotic Nigerians who have been Recipients of this stellar award category includes:
1. Amb. Yahaya Kwande, Winner Plateau Man of the Year 1st Edition
2. Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, Winner Plateau Man of the Year 2nd Edition
3. Her Excellency Dame Pauline Tallen, winner 3rd Edition
4. Hon. Chris Kwaja, PhD winner Plateau Man of the Year 4th Edition.

The call for nominations is the first stage in a 3-step selection process that includes:
a call for nomination,
a call to vote for the shortlisted nominees,
and the Judges final review of the nominations and voting submissions – using supportive evidence and voting considerations in their final decisions.
The Award this year comprises of 47 distinctive categories for nominations and voting. Winners of each award category, after the Judges review and recommendations, shall be formally presented with an Award Trophy Plaque and Certificate at the Award’s Gala Night, scheduled to hold on February 12th, 2023, at Tamarald Event Center, Jos Plateau State.
2022 Selection Process Timeline as follows:
Thursday, 1th December. 2022: Call for Award Nominations opens.
December 11th: Deadline for submitting nominations.
December 15th: Call for the voting of shortlisted nominees.
December 31st: Deadline for voting
January 1st – 3rd: Judges reviews of all nominations and voting submissions,
Wednesday, 4 January 2023 – Final winners announced.
How do I make a nomination?
Nominations should clearly state full names of nominee and category of nomination and should be accompanied by supporting evidence in the form of documents, online links, videos, etc.
Nominations should have the contact details of either or both the nominating person and nominee so contacts may be reached for supporting evidence of claims if needed.
Who can make a nomination?
Plateau state residents and friends of Plateau state from across the globe.
Also, self-nomination is also allowed.
Note: That all Nominees must be persons and corporate bodies that have direct bearing and impact on their immediate society.
