The Federal Government cash stimulus for the vulnerable and the poorest of the poor in the society, under the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) initiative began across several states of the federation on Monday.
In Plateau State, 60,000 vulnerable citizens across 17 local governments of the state benefitted N20,000 from the government. The Special Adviser to Gov Simon Lalong on National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) Dr Sumaye Hamza described the exercise as “commendable” and “successful” considering the smooth transfer of the funds to the beneficiaries.
“This conditional cash transfer is being carried out simultaneously in all the 17 local government areas of Plateau.
“We in Plateau are appreciative of the good gesture of President Muhammadu Buhari who ordered this four months payment to the vulnerable in the Nigerian society.
